KAMPOTKampot is a typical small colonial country town of about 40,000 people, located about two hours from the capital, near the Vietnamese border. It’s a great way to see the real Cambodia. Situated on the banks of the beautiful Teuk Chhouu River estuary, it has a stirring history. It was then directly involved in the liberation of Cambodia from the Khmer Rouge by the Vietnamese. But life in the city has never stopped and now it proudly offers many of Cambodia’s tourist highlights. Like the world renowned Kampot Pepper Plantations, Salt Fields, Bokor National Park, and the abandoned haunted house atmosphere of Bokor Hill Station.
Stroll through the colonial streets, experience the hustle and bustle of authentic Cambodian life, and enjoy the markets of the town centre and at the Kampot Traditional Music School. With our close connections with local agencies, we can also help you organize many activities and adventures: jungle trekking, cycling, kayaking, waterfalls or unforgettable boat trips. And for each trip, you will be picked up at Olly’s Place and have a fluent English-speaking guide made available.
